Aloé Striata
Aloe Striata, also known as “coral aloe,” is a remarkable South African species, as elegant as it is resilient. Unlike many aloes with sharp teeth along their leaves, this species stands out with its smooth foliage bordered by fine translucent lines. Its broad, fleshy blue-gray leaves form a compact and graphic rosette that integrates perfectly into succulent collections or dry gardens.
Its nickname “coral aloe” comes from its spectacular flowering. Aloe Striata produces tall flower stalks in spring, bearing numerous bright coral-red tubular flowers. The contrast between the bluish foliage and the vibrant blooms makes this species a first-choice ornamental plant, both in pots and in the ground in mild climates.
Easy to grow, hardy and decorative, it suits both passionate collectors and beginner gardeners. Undemanding, it adapts to various environments as long as it benefits from well-draining soil and good light.
