Tradescantia Pallida
Tradescantia Pallida, also called “Purple Heart,” is a trailing perennial plant admired for its intense purple foliage. Highly appreciated as an ornamental plant, it is used both indoors and outdoors, in hanging baskets, as ground cover, or in decorative pots.
Its long, narrow, lance-shaped leaves are covered with fine hairs that enhance their velvety texture. The dominant color is deep violet, sometimes tending toward burgundy, becoming even brighter and more vibrant with strong light. Younger leaves, lighter in tone, contrast beautifully with older ones, creating a graphic effect.
Beyond its spectacular foliage, Tradescantia Pallida produces small pink or mauve flowers that are discreet yet charming. These simple but elegant blooms add a delicate touch to this already striking plant.
