Stephania Kaweesakii
Stephania Kaweesakii is an exceptional caudiciform plant, highly sought after by collectors of rare succulents. Its main attraction lies in its impressive caudex: a swollen base, often spherical or flattened, covered with cracked and sculptural bark that gives it a mineral appearance. Over time, this caudex can become massive, turning the plant into a true living work of art.
From this globular trunk emerge slender climbing or trailing stems bearing delicate rounded leaves, soft green and sometimes veined. The contrast between the robustness of the caudex and the delicacy of the foliage makes Stephania Kaweesakii a unique plant, ideal for adding an exotic and elegant touch to a collection.
This Stephania follows a well-defined cycle: in spring and summer, it develops stems and lush foliage. In autumn, it enters dormancy and loses its leaves, retaining only its caudex. During this period, it appears “asleep,” yet it preserves its vitality in preparation for the next growing season.
