Orbea Dummeri
Orbea Dummeri quickly forms a mat of fleshy, quadrangular stems, grey-green sometimes tinged purple in sun. Spaced conical teeth rhythm the edges and create graphic relief perfect for shallow pots. Compact in strong light with moving air, Orbea Dummeri remains short and turgid; in insufficient light, it elongates and loses contrast. In shallow bowls or baskets, it cascades slightly and offsets around the edges to quickly fill space.
For watering, follow the cycle “thorough watering then complete drying”: hydrate deeply only when the mix is dry, then let it dry entirely. This rhythm prevents root suffocation and conditions bud formation. Orbea Dummeri appreciates a bright, ventilated room; after repotting, keep dry 4–7 days to allow wounds to heal before watering again. Light, low-nitrogen feeding always after watering supports steady growth without softening tissues.
