Aeonium Torchbearer
The Aeonium Torchbearer is a spectacular cultivar admired for its flamboyant tones and elegant habit. This variety stands out with rosettes perched high on slender stems, creating a sculptural silhouette reminiscent of a vegetal chandelier — hence its evocative name, “Torchbearer.”
Its foliage displays an enchanting gradient of light green, burgundy, and intense purple. Depending on light and temperature, the shades vary, offering a changing spectacle throughout the year. Aeonium Torchbearer can reach up to 60 cm in height, with rosettes 15 to 20 cm in diameter.
Its growth is vigorous in spring and autumn. It rests during summer heat like most Aeoniums. At the end of its cycle, it produces a branched flower stalk adorned with yellow star-shaped blooms.
